Some Bella firsts

Although a little late in the season, Bella did her first sparkler up at my parents' place this past weekend. She basically just held it with not much waving, and we hovered around her making sure she kept it far enough away from Lucy!

Bella also got her first ride on the jet ski. She didn't want to go, but her mommy & daddy made her and she was all smiles and waving to everyone once she did it. She didn't ask to go on another ride though. She is definitely not Miss Adventurous.

We watched a neat fireworks show from the lake on Saturday night and Lucy (and Bella) stayed up and watched the whole thing. I was surprised how entertained Lucy was by it. I for sure thought she'd fall asleep.

My brother Craig was also up visiting with Clark so the girls got to play with them. Bella had fun playing this game with them. Amazing how a rummage sale find will entertain them! Other than that, the weather wasn't the warmest but we enjoyed the girls sleeping in late and a few meals out.
