Pictures for their 2nd & 4th birthdays.

Shadow turned 12.  

We had a family cookout to celebrate the girls' birthdays.  Bella was very much looking forward to it.  It was marked on her calendar and we'd go over who was coming, etc.  But when the day finally came, she starting with mentioning the "party for Lucy".  I kept saying that the party was for both of them, thinking maybe she thought since she was having a party with her friends that this one was just Lucy's.  After that, she said that she didn't want anyone to sing happy birthday to her, only to Lucy.  Then after the guests started to arrive, she said she was tired and wanted to go to bed.  She didn't want to have anything to do with the party!  She is just the type that wants to be in the background, not the center of attention.  We decided to do presents before we ate, and surprise, surprise, the shyness ended (although she did get mad when she was included in happy birthday song).    

The big hit of the party had to be the singing/barking dog card that Evie, Sonny, Nicole & Jordan got for them.  In fact, Lucy is playing with it right now!
